Our panel discussed the lack of civility and other questions surrounding the political landscape.
A panel of experts explored the issues in maintaining the water quality of the Great Lakes. Peter Annin, a veteran conflict and environmental journalist, revealed the threats opposed by water diversion from the Great Lakes. Cameron Davis, the U.S. EPA’s senior advisor for the Great Lakes, and Robert Tolpa, a 35-year veteran of the EPA and a resident of South Haven, described the works between the U.S. and Canada to protect water quality, the enormous and surprisingly bi-partisan, federal investment being made to protect the Great Lakes and a few “war stories” in the fight to keep pollutants out of the water.
